Ambassador of the Month
The Ambassadors Committee is a group of members who volunteer their time to serve as Chamber representatives.
As informed Chamber representatives, the Ambassadors serve as the entity of the Chamber that focuses on the Chamber membership – the backbone of the organization. The Ambassadors’ purpose is to assist in increasing the membership of the Chamber throughout the year by recruiting new members and spreading good will among existing membership. Ambassadors act as a public-relations arm of the Chamber by attending various functions including ribbon cuttings, grand openings, fundraisers and community events. Ambassadors provide greater visibility for the Chamber, i.e., more people telling the Chamber story!
Ambassadors gain experience and knowledge of how the Chamber functions and are prepared to assume other leadership roles in the Chamber. They also have the opportunity to be awarded “Ambassador of the Year!”
Recently I thought I needed new carpet. A friend from the chamber recommended I call the Rug Rescue to have them cleaned and then decide if the expense of new carpeting was needed. She’s used him in the past and said he does good work. He did a great job of removing some stubborn stains, and said I probably could get another year or 2 out of the carpet I have now. The cost was reasonable and he extended a discount as a chamber member.
Tijuana’s Kitchen catered a party I had recently. They offered a great variety of menu items at a very reasonable cost. The food was delivered on time and hot. Everything was amazing. Thank you Marisa for everything!
I contacted Tammy at Serendipity Cakery in Wyandotte for a special birthday cake. It was last minute and I wanted a specific design. Tammy was kind enough to fit it into her schedule and able to make the specialty cake I wanted. The cake turned out perfect and everyone raved about how delicious it was. I even handed out a few of her cards to friends.
